Using Buddy

You are responsible for your account, the information you submit, and how you use Buddy. You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, or use Buddy for unlawful activity.

Academic integrity

Buddy is designed for study support, class updates, student marketplace listings, and peer learning. You are responsible for following your school's academic integrity, classroom, copyright, and conduct rules. Do not use Buddy to submit someone else's work as your own, cheat on exams, distribute prohibited materials, or violate school policy.

User content

You are responsible for content you post, sell, upload, review, or report. Do not post content you do not have the right to share. Do not post illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, spam, or privacy-violating content. Buddy may remove content, restrict accounts, or report activity when necessary.

Buddy services and campus listings

Buddies and campus sellers choose what they offer, subject to app rules. Buyers should review previews, listing details, service dates, class, professor, price, and attachments before purchasing. Buddy may restrict duplicate, misleading, abusive, or low-quality listings.

Payments, wallet credits, and refunds

Purchases, wallet credits, refunds, and fees are handled through Buddy and third-party payment providers. Wallet credits may be limited to eligible in-app uses and may not be transferable except where Buddy explicitly supports a feature. Refund requests are reviewed under Buddy's refund flow and may be denied if they appear abusive, late, unsupported, or outside the stated refund window.

Seller payouts and fees

Seller balances, platform fees, payout minimums, Stripe Connect requirements, and payout transfer fees are shown in the app. Stripe or other payout providers may require identity, tax, compliance, fraud, or banking information before payouts are available. Buddy may delay, deny, reverse, or adjust payouts for refunds, chargebacks, fraud, policy violations, or provider requirements.

Reports and moderation

Users can report posts, listings, reviews, and other activity. Buddy may review reports, remove content, restrict accounts, issue refunds, preserve records, and take other action to protect users and the marketplace.

No guaranteed availability

Buddy may change, suspend, or discontinue features. Class data, professor data, listings, posts, pricing, search results, and third-party services may be incomplete, delayed, or unavailable.

Disclaimers

Buddy is provided as available. We do not guarantee grades, academic outcomes, seller income, payout timing, listing quality, class data accuracy, or that content will meet your expectations.

Account termination

Buddy may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create risk, abuse refunds, misuse payments, post prohibited content, or harm other users.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Buddy after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
