How we use information
- To create and secure your account.

- To process purchases, credits, refunds, seller payouts, fees, and transaction records.
- To moderate content, review reports, prevent abuse, and enforce marketplace rules.

Payments and payouts
Buddy uses third-party payment and payout providers, including Stripe, RevenueCat, and Apple in-app purchase systems. Buddy does not store full payment card numbers. These providers may process payment, payout, tax, fraud, compliance, and transaction information under their own policies.
Advertising
Buddy may use Google AdMob or similar advertising services to show ads. Advertising providers may receive device, ad interaction, and diagnostic information according to your device settings, consent choices, and their policies.
Sharing information
We may share information with service providers that help operate Buddy, including hosting, authentication, database, storage, payments, payouts, advertising, app distribution, support, and moderation providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer.
User content and visibility
Content you post may be visible to other Buddy users depending on the feature. For example, campus posts, For Sale listings, professor reviews, and Buddy service previews may be shown to other students. Purchased or accepted content may be saved to a buyer's Library according to the app feature.
Data retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide Buddy, maintain transaction and payout records, handle disputes, comply with law, prevent abuse, and support account recovery or moderation. Some records, such as payment, refund, payout, fee, report, and moderation records, may be retained after account deletion when required for legal, accounting, safety, or fraud-prevention reasons.
Your choices
- You can update some profile information in the app, subject to cooldown rules.
- You can request support or account deletion by emailing wejudgeapp@gmail.com.
- You can manage advertising and tracking permissions through your device settings where available.
Children and students
Buddy is intended for college and university-level students and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided information to Buddy, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
